Someone had to think up single-ply toilet paper.
Seriously, whoever was coming up with bog roll to begin with would have absolutely had a very unpleasant moment where he or she realized that, NO, one sheet of toilet paper was clearly not going to be enough, especially after a high-fiber meal. They would have come to the logical, humane, ethical conclusion that at least double-ply was necessary in order to ensure the whole process went off without a hitch.
And then someone else thought they could cut that corner, probably in an attempt to save money.
Stop and consider that for a moment. And while you're considering that, consider what possible circle of hell could serve as an appropriate punishment for such a man. Or woman, because I'm all about equality.
